This is a piece of work from Refuge Wear by Lucy Orta, which made by aluminium coated polyamide, polar fleece, telescopic aluminium poles, whistle, lantern and compass. Lucy Orta's works are in between architecture and body, fashion and art. I am also crossing the boundaries in my project, I want to break the boundary between fashion clothing and furniture, one is decoration for body and the other is decoration for space, therefore I am searching for their similarities and produce a piece of work combine their characteristics. I define this work as a wearable tent, because it's a tent can be transformed into clothing, we can see from the photos of this piece of work, there's a hat on the top of the tent and there're pockets at the front.For my own project, I am also creating something with characteristics from two areas.
